Welcome to Playgroup
During the first couple of weeks we will be focusing on settling in, making friends and exploring the playgroup environment.
We will be talking about our playgroup rules as well as exploring the importance of sharing and helping each other.
Keep an eye on the whiteboard in the playground to see what the children have been doing on a daily basis.
Please feel free to help yourself to the books outside on the slope to share at home and return when finished.
Please also enjoy our lovely story sacks that are filled with fun activities to share with the whole family.
These have worked really well in the past, with the children loving to share their achievements
The certificates can be used to celebrate anything from using the toilet, helping, going to bed on time
or eating their vegetables!
Certificates are situated by the door.
Children’s Personal Belongings
Please ensure that your child’s belongings are clearly named. This helps staff match items to children and makes getting ready to go home easier. Thank you.
Grapes, Tomatoes & Nuts
Please cut grapes and tomatoes into quarters in children’s lunch boxes. This is to prevent choking
We are a NUT FREE zone.
This includes chocolate spread containing nuts
Please ensure that the black gate is shut at all times when entering or leaving the school premises. The
safety of the playgroup and school children is a priority. Thank you for your support.
Please be patient with us at pick up times while we get used to all the new faces. Children are encouraged to sit and wait until their name is called ready to go home.
Please wait in the main playground away from the slope and small gate at this causes congestion.
Also, please remember pick up times are 11.30, 12.30 and 3.30. Being late can cause distress to your child.
As the children enjoy playing outside all year round, please make sure they wear appropriate clothing to play out in all weathers.
Have you signed up to Tapestry?
Please speak to a member of staff if you are having problems activating your account.
Don’t forget you can add your own observations to your child’s journal
As a charity (non-profit) run playgroup we are facing significant financial challenges under the new funding regime. We therefore ask for a voluntary contribution of 50p per week to support us in providing snacks for the children.
Basket for donations is by the children’s self-registration box. Thank you for your support.
