Welcome – we would like to take this opportunity of welcoming our new starters and wishing you all a Happy New Year. We are excited to be back and are looking forward to a great 2019 with your children.

Planning for this term

We will be investigating space, the planets and travel.
Our books for this half term are “Aliens love underpants” and “Whatever Next.”

Playgroup Security

Please can we remind you to shut the black gate after you are let in through the buzzer system. The safety of the Playgroup and School children is a priorty, so please do not leave this gate open at any time.
Thank you

Hats and Gloves

Please remember to send your child in with hats and gloves so we can wrap them up lovely and warm to enjoy the
outside area, as we do play outside every day.

Please notify us on 02380 701229 if your child is too unwell to attend playgroup or is absent for another reason. Extended absence has an impact on our funding and planning.
Thank you

Playground equipment

A polite reminder for all parents/carers with older children:
Please can you ensure that older children do not play with the playgroup equipment whilst waiting for their siblings. This includes the trikes, balls and playhouse.

The equipment has already been packed away by staff. Most of the equipment is not suitable for older children
and we do not want the equipment to be damaged, or for your children to get hurt.
Thank you for your co-operation

BT My Donate

My name’s Matt and I’m running in the Southampton marathon this year. I’ve never ran a full marathon before
(the furthest I’ve gone is a half marathon) so this will be a big challenge for me, but a challenge I’m very excited to
take on! I have decided I would like to raise money for the Foundry Lane Community Playgroup. My reasons for this
are that all three of my children have attended this playgroup and the staff and service provided is wonderful,
especially with my son Tobyn who happens to have DownsSyndrome, at a time when as a family we struggled with the
many hospital appointments and associated health issues that Tobyn had, the staff at the playgroup were so supportive and went above and beyond their job roles to help support us and Tobyn. Tobyn himself thrived when
attending their playgroup and has since gone on to thrive at mainstream school. Please support Matt and the Playgroup, if you can, by donating at
